But on a recent visit to Lae Lay Grill Restaurant, the crowd was bustling and filled with cheer as friends and families gathered to have a drink, grab some premium seafood or sit down for a spectacular dinner.
The view is the first thing that will strike patrons at the Lae Lay Grill. Right from the stone staircase that leads up to the panoramic terrace, the Noppharat Thara Bay unveils in front of your eyes: a mix of greens and blues, of sea and forest, promontories and islands; the essence of the Andaman Sea.
Lively and sophisticated, Lae Lay Grill is decorated in traditional style with sepia tones and hardwood floors. The menu comprises both Thai classics and specials such as live lobsters, tiger prawns, crabs and more from local seas, all displayed in the huge and well maintained aquariums at the restaurant entrance.
Dinner at Lae Lay Grill is clearly more than a meal: it is an experience of culinary wisdom. All dishes were cooked superbly and nicely choreographed by the master chef. The service was quick, the well-selected staff polite and very pleasant, with enough English to communicate with patrons.
